Near Frankston Pier is the arched pedestrian bridge over the mouth Kananook Creek, erected in 2003 as part of the Frankston Waterfront.

The Melbourne Central shopping and office development was designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa in the Metabolist style.
